Along with the new addition to the Fixer Upper franchise, Chip and Joanna Gaines have announced two brand-new shows for their Magnolia Network. While one show focuses on their flipping expertise in renovating a historic building into a boutique hotel called Hotel 1928, the other show explores Joanna’s passion for roller skating and will feature a roller skating competition.
Set to debut on Magnolia Network and Max this November, Fixer Upper: The Hotel will showcase the Gaineses as they transform the former Grand Karem Shrine building in downtown Waco, Texas. With 33 guest rooms, dining and event space, a rooftop terrace, and a retail shop, the hotel offers visitors a unique experience. The couple expressed their excitement and readiness for the challenge of renovating a 50,000-square-foot space, which they consider to be the “big leagues.”
In addition to Fixer Upper: The Hotel, Chip and Joanna Gaines are also producing a roller skating competition show set to be released on Max in early 2024. The couple shared that roller skating is a nostalgic activity that appeals to people of all ages. While details about the competition are yet to be revealed, teams from Atlanta, Houston, Las Vegas, Nashville, New York, and St. Louis will be chosen to compete.
The announcement of these new shows demonstrates the couple’s commitment to expanding their Magnolia Network offerings beyond home design. Through their shows, Chip and Joanna Gaines continue to captivate audiences with their passion for renovation and diverse interests.
