Fashion designer Heidi Middleton, co-founder of Sass & Bide, and her husband Michael Malouf, a property developer, have purchased an oceanfront property in Noosa. The couple spent $3.2 million for a stake in a 40.5-hectare beachfront land on Noosa North Shore, located approximately 12km from the popular Hastings St. The property boasts 466 meters of beachfront frontage and borders the Great Sandy National Park.

The land, previously a dairy farm in the 1940s and later used for mineral sand stockpiling, features lush vegetation, a freshwater lagoon, and rainforest. It is home to a variety of bird species, including eagles, hawks, osprey, cockatoos, parrots, and more. The area also offers excellent fishing spots for flathead, bream, dart, and tailor.

The property was marketed last year as an “irrefutably spectacular beachfront parcel” by local agent Tom Offermann. Transfer documents reveal that Middleton purchased a two-sixth stake in the property.

In addition to their new Noosa property, Malouf and his brother Cal have plans to open a hotel in Noosa Heads in 2026 on a separate 2.4-hectare block. Meanwhile, Middleton still owns Porta Rossa, a 1940s house in Palm Beach, Sydney, which she bought with her ex-husband in 2006.

Middleton’s recent purchase in Noosa showcases her continued interest in real estate investments, as she and her husband capitalize on the appeal of the coastal lifestyle and natural beauty of the area.
