Antiques at The Gardens Show Provides Unique Shopping and Learning Experience

Antiques at The Gardens, now in its 17th edition, is an annual event held at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens. Presented by O’Neal Industries, this event offers attendees the opportunity to listen to talks by design luminaries, shop for unique antiques and support the beautiful setting of the botanical gardens. The show will take place from September 28 to October 1, hosted by the Friends of Birmingham Botanical Gardens.

One of the highlights of the event is the opportunity to learn from nationally and internationally known interior designers, architects, landscape architects, and experts on entertaining. Talks and panel discussions will cover a range of topics including design, tradition, hospitality, and the art of the home. Attendees can engage with these experts and gain valuable insights and inspiration for their own projects.

In addition to the educational aspect of the show, attendees can browse through the offerings of 22 dealers. These dealers will bring a variety of items such as furniture, fine art, jewelry, rugs, and textiles. Returning favorites include Hedgerow Antiques, Piggy Kitchen, and Roger D. Winter Ltd., while new dealers will also be introduced this year.

The show kicks off with the Gala in the Gardens, a black-tie event honoring former Friends of Birmingham Botanical Gardens board Chairman B. Hanson Slaughter. Throughout the show, attendees can also participate in book signings by speakers and purchase books at the Gardens’ Leaf & Petal shop.

To attend the show and special events, tickets can be purchased at bbgardens.org/antiques. For more information and updates, follow the show on Facebook and Instagram.
